Christian Arts Trust was pleased to support Siskin Green in the recording and production of their second album, building on the success and reach of their debut release, and recognising a body of work that brings together musical excellence, theological depth, and social engagement in ways that closely reflect the Trust’s charitable aims.
Siskin Green’s music draws creatively on Scotland’s folk traditions while addressing contemporary questions of faith, justice, and women’s experience.

Their debut album demonstrated a rare ability to bridge traditional Christian song and hymnody with new material that speaks honestly into modern contexts of injustice and hope. As one reviewer noted, their work blends “songs of protest, feminism and faith” with striking musical integrity.

The trio has established a significant public presence, performing at major festivals including Greenbelt Festival, where they later led a main worship event for over 12,000 people, as well as appearances at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and other UK festivals.
Their music has also reached wider audiences through broadcasts on BBC Radio 4, BBC Scotland, and related platforms.

Christian Arts Trust was glad to support the development of new work that offers both comfort and challenge, and that demonstrates how contemporary folk music can continue to shape conversations atthe intersection of faith, culture, and social justice.
