Bishop Rob was the Anglican Bishop of Riverina in Australia from 2014-18, before returning to be Parish Priest in Christ Church Streatham, South London as well as Honorary Associate Bishop for the Arts in the Southwark Diocese.
He has a lifelong passion for the Arts, initially training in acting at the University of London before working as an actor and theatre director for 12 years.
He participated in a variety of stage shows including cabaret, repertory and Shakespeare productions, prior to retraining for ministry at the age of 32.
During his wide-ranging ministry he been chaplain to prisoners in Shek Pik Prison, Hong Kong; served in parishes in Chelsea and Sloane Square; been chaplain at Harrods; and was a regular contributor to BBC’s Pause for Thought on Radio Two.
A former Chair of the Christian Arts Trust, Bishop Rob is a keen advocate for the central importance of the Arts in developing Christian faith.
